'Paint Yourself Calm' workshops

The 'Paint Yourself Calm' Watercolour workshops have proved both popular and rewarding for all the participants; my thanks to all those attending in Calne, Wiltshire, Aberystwyth, Pontrhydfendigaid and Ystrad Meurig, Ceredigion, it has been a real pleasure to work with you!

Details of January Workshop and Coffee Morning

Thanks to the wonderful ladies who have braved the horrendous weather during the past few months to come to
Bont for the Coffee Morning and the workshops in November and December.  A cosy and friendly afternoon
resulted in some fine sewing and individual ideas being explored on each of the Saturdays, so I have great
hopes and expectations for the experimental painting and printing workshop on 16th January 2016.  Do contact
me to reserve your place as it has been advertised in 'The Quilter' this month, so I am hoping for a good

Helping Men's Health, and having a great afternoon too!

See my opening page for info on my next workshop on Saturday 14th November 1 - 5.30pm featuring
Experimental Log Cabin - no previous experience required, just a sewing machine, cutting mat and roller blade!
£17.50 with proceeds going to 'Movember' Prostate Cancer research and treatment, a VERY worthy cause!

New Paintings on website home page!

Just returned from the south of France with some new paintings, inspired by the fabulous exhibition of Fauve
art at the gallery in St. Tropez!
Also had a great weekend painting with Lucy in the Elan valley here in Wales.

Feline Fancies Workshop in Wales

Thanks to all the ladies who attended the sewing workshop on 10th March - a great way to raise funds for the
Cats Protection League!  Looking forward to seeing the finished pieces at the C.P.L. fete which is being organised
for sometime after Easter.

jGreat time with the Thanet Quilters!

Lovely welcome and very positive comments from the Thanet ladies and gent after my talk this week, and a very productive and creative workshop day!  Thank you all!

Patchwork and Painting Workshops begin in September!

Hi to all who regularly check my blogs - I am very pleased to say that I will be holding my first patchwork workshops in my new home onSaturday 30th August, 1pm - 4pmandSaturday 6th September, 1pm - 4pm
I will begin with the hexagon pin cushion design (which can alternatively be left flat and form the centre piece for a cushion), and there will be several different fabric themes to choose from:  Canadian; Australian; seaside; flowers and birds.  The finished piece can then be embellished with any beads or sequins which I have, or you might like to bring with you.

A new beginning in Wales

Well, we have arrived - to sunny weather, which was a lovely surprise, though it is pouring down at the moment!  It's been great to unpack boxes where things have been stored since November 2011 - it's almost like Christmas discovering pictures or ornaments I had totally forgotten!

Soon work will begin on the studio rooms at the top of the house, and my planning workshops can begin - I hope that fellow artists and crafts people will join me here to enjoy the beautiful setting, the gorgeous countryside nearby and the warm fellowship that develops during the workshop sessions.

Moving to Wales!

Hi to all those who view the website pages, and a warm welcome to you!
We are moving house from St. Margaret's to Ponthrhydfendigaid, a small village about 15 miles inland from Aberystwyth in Wales on 18th March, and will be surrounded by the most glorious countryside, with  a nearby abbey, bird sanctuary and of course, the beautiful Elan Valley.  I am so looking forward to getting out to paint and using these new surroundings to inspire both art and textiles as well as my photography!  Lots to do before we go, but I am hoping that friends old and new will find time to come to visit us, and take part in the events and workshops I am planning for the summer!

Feline Fancies workshops

A big hello and thank you to all those who attended the Feline Fancies workshops held in January and on the 1st February.  We had a busy and creative time, personalising our chosen cat designs and making them full of character, with just a few well placed pieces of fabric and stitches!
Do keep in touch via the website and email your photographs of finished pieces so that I can update the opening page.  Good luck and I hope to see as many of you as possible at the workshop retreats I will arrange once we have settled in Wales.
